How You Can Help Today
The Urban Assembly can accept donations via many different methods. Listed below are the most common ways to make a gift. If you don't see the information you need, feel free to contact the Development Office at 212.867.3098.

$100---Provides transportation for 5 students to visit colleges.
$250---Covers college application fees for 4 students.
$500---Allows a student to experience a summer on-campus college preparatory program.
$1,000---Produces a financial aid workshop for 30 parents and students.
$2,500---Provides training to 75 internship supervisors at partnering organizations.
$5,000---Matches 100 students to mentors.
$10,000---Pays for college tracking through the National Student Clearing House, providing critical feedback on the effectiveness of our instructional practices and programs.

Matching Gifts
Double the impact of your giving by pairing your gift with that of a corporation or foundation. Thousands of companies and corporate foundations match gifts to nonprofit institutions. Contact the human resources office at your employer, spouse's employer, or even your former employer, if you are retired, to inquire about their matching gift program. You will be asked to either complete or submit a form directly to The Urban Assembly with your payment or to contact the company's matching gift coordinator by telephone or e-mail to report your gift.

Bequests
Remembering The Urban Assembly in your will is the easiest way to make a planned gift and leave a legacy for New York City schoolchildren for years to come. Below is the basic language for leaving a gift to The Urban Assembly in your will.

Unrestricted Bequest:

"I give, and bequeath to The Urban Assembly, 90 Broad Street, Suite 2101, New York, NY 10004 (___% of my estate), or ($___) or (all the residue of my estate including real and personal property)".

Restricted Bequest:
"I give, and bequeath to The Urban Assembly, 90 Broad Street, Suite 2101, New York, NY 10004 (___% of my estate), or ($___) or (all the residue of my estate including real and personal property) to be used for the following: (your purpose goes here)" If a person designates a bequest for a specific purpose, he/she also should include the following provision to ensure that the gift will continue to provide for the beneficiaries that The Urban Assembly serves: "If at some future time it is no longer practicable, in the judgment of The Urban Assembly Board of Directors, to use this gift for the purpose indicated above, said Board shall have the right to apply this gift to whatever purpose it deems necessary or desirable in accord with intent to benefit schoolchildren.
