Four students at NYHS have won scholarships to the prestigious Island School in the Bahamas, where selected high school sophomores and juniors spend a semester studying environmental sciences and marine biology. The American Sail Training Association honored NYHS’s innovative use of the Lettie G. Howard with the Sail Training Education Program of the Year Award. The NYHS rowing team has successfully competed in Boston’s Youth Open Water Rowing Championship.
