One of New York City’s first all-male public high schools in 30 years, the Urban Assembly Academy of History and Citizenship for Young Men nurtures and educates students—“scholars,” as they are known—to be proud of their heritage and to feel a strong sense of community and civic responsibility. The school celebrates its scholars’ rites of passage as they make progress in their academic and personal development.
