The Urban Assembly Institute of Math and Science for Young Women, conceived and planned in partnership with Polytechnic University, encourages and empowers students to study and pursue careers in mathematics, science and technology— fields in which women have traditionally been given little encouragement or opportunity to excel. The school’s interdisciplinary, inquiry-based curriculum engages students in their other classes as well, while community service projects and advisers promote lifelong learning and leadership.
