Every UAMA student enrolls in a specially designed Extended Studio, led by a professional artist, in which the student makes art and learns about related career opportunities.
Every student is provided with an Apple iBook G4 and becomes fluent in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
The school is equipped with a state-of-the-art science lab, a music production studio and a 10-station DJ lab.
In 2006-07, students are filming, editing and producing their own movie.
In summer 2006, UAMA students could choose among internships at Scratch DJ Academy, Hip Hop Theater Festival, Dancing in the Streets, and the Anti- Defamation League’s A World of Difference Institute.
