The majority of Urban Assembly graduates are first-generation college students. The Alumni Success team provides UA graduates with targeted and tailored services that help them successfully matriculate and persist in college and careers.

Summer Bridge

Summer Bridge is peer-to-peer summer coaching program that helps guide new high school graduates navigate the complex landscape of higher education and career training to successfully matriculate to college and professional programs in the fall.

More than 74% of UA graduates who plan to attend college successfully matriculate through the Summer Bridge Program, compared to 60% of students from low-income backgrounds nationwide.

Texting Program

The UA leverages popular technology to promote persistence among alumni in college and career programs. The Alumni Texting program is a low-touch high-impact method to keep young people engaged with services offered by the Alumni team, connected to other alumni, and offers an easy way for alumni to communicate and/or reach out to the Alumni team for assistance.

In partnership with Signal Vine, the UA text alumni to inform them about college- and program-related tasks, remind them of deadlines, attend campus and community events and conferences, and connect them to available resources.

Currently, 2,313 alumni from the classes of 2020, 2021, and 2022 remain engaged through our texting program.
