The Urban Assembly's 2nd Annual Career & Technical Education Symposium: High-Quality CTE for College and Career held on January 9th, 2016 at New York University's Kimmel Center was a great success. Over 100 partners, practitioners, educators, policy makers and community members came together for a day of lively discussions regarding critical topics in the field of Career & Technical Education. Select partners in attendance included the NYC Department of Education, JPMorgan Chase, Jobs For the Future, Teacher's College Columbia University, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Apollo Theater, Harlem RBI, Charter School Growth Fund, Partnership for New York City, Futures and Options, FHI 360, and numerous NYC CTE schools teachers, principals and even parents.
